Window
Window is
a piece of glass with plane parallel surfaces used to admit light
into an optical system and to exclude dirt and
moisture.
There can be extreme differences of temperature,
pressure, humidity and other parameters on either side of the
window. When selecting windows the optical, mechanical and thermal
properties must be considered according to the intended use: It
should be of high purity and polish in order not to affect the
optical system.
When large pressure differences are
anticipated across the window extra thickness will be required to
hold the flatness and parallelism specifications.
Windows may
also be used as coating substrates for use in a wide range of
applications. OP-Unite provides varieties of single layer or
multiplayer anti-reflecting coating on optical windows. Please refer
to Coatings chapter for more information.
The common
materials we are manufacturing are: BK7, UV Fused Silica, Crystal
Quartz, Sapphire, MgF2, CaF2, Silicon, Germanium and other crystal.

requirement.

Note: The general tolerance specifications above provide a
guideline regarding manufacturing capabilities for optics ranging in
size from 1-360mm. The manufacturing limits are not absolute;
tighter tolerances may be possible. Part specific tolerances may
vary depending on component size, shape, and/or
